Paul E. Rich

Paul E. Rich passed away on March 13, 2026 after a long illness. He was born on May 8, 1940 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Sam and Lois Jane [Wilson] Rich.
Paul’s career spanned 50 years of service to the nation, first with the United States Air Force (USAF) and then with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
Paul was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodges—Lee Choi #172, Kosa Okinawa; Sharon Lodge #327, McLean, Virginia; and Unity #201, Order of the Eastern Star, Falls Church, Virginia. He was a Past Patron of Sharon Chapter #63, Order of the Eastern Star, McLean, Virginia.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Cynthia A. [Mercer] Rich, a brother, Larry Rich of Bryant, Arkansas, and his closest and dear cousin, Carlyle Haywood Jr., of Rockingham, North Carolina, as well as numerous cousins.
Paul always sought opportunities to help others. He will be remembered for his smile, humor, and honesty, but most of all for his love for his wife, and unwavering dedication to his country. A graveside service is planned for a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
