  5. Barbara, I am very sorry! I know that this week you and Pete would be on your cruise together. I am just going to think about all of the fun things you did together and what a support you were to him during all of his serious health issues. I always think back about your wedding and the excitement and the plans, and all of those little nieces and nephews having such a good time. I also remember the young relative who wanted to spend his 8 th birthday with Uncle Pete when he was asked how he would like to plan for his birthday.I am sure there were lots of people who would want to spend their birthday with Pete.Love always, Aileen & David

  8. I was a friend of Peters in High School and remember him as a friendly caring person. He convinced me to attend the first Earth Day Ceremony in 69 or 70 and I worked with Peter on a Social Studies project concerning Sunday Blue Laws in Virginia. Peter was the first person I knew that talked about how he knew his Mother had died before he actually was contacted about it. Since then I have met a number of people who have had this experience. But that was Peter, he felt things deeply and was not afraid to talk about them. Rest in peace friend.

  9. Barbara, So sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. He was a wonderful human being and we will miss him not only for the many activities that he participated in but also as a leader and great ELK. God Bless, Mack & Susie

  10. Pete was in my homeroom for years. He was always positive honest and a good guy. Heck he was a friend to me , so he had to be a good guy, LOL. I will let me Dad know, since I think Pete knew my Dad. Anyway he will be missed and my sincere condolences to the family. Ian

  11. Barbara, My thoughts and prayers are with you and Peter’s family. He was a true gentleman, a wonderful, supportive person, and a great Elk. The Lodge and Bingo will not be the same without him–all of the Monday night Bingo players send their condolences.

  16. Barb, On behalf of my family I want to offer our prayers and deepest condolence to you and your family. Peter was an excellent role model for the numerous children who attended Youth Camp as well as an example for all of us to follow. 17. Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family. The Marshall family have always held a special place in our hearts. We pray that God will give you the strength and comfort you need during these tough times. With Love, Feltman Family

  18. Pete Marshall was more than my Union Brother, he was my friend. He was a delegate and ambassador for our Union. He never refused a call for help or assistance. When others went missing, Pete showed up. When others wavered, Pete stood up. I will remember Pete every time I hear our Union pledge recited because he maintained the spirit of our Union with each breath he drew. May God grant him the eternal rest and blessings that he has so surely earned. John P. Sullivan President, Steamfitters Local 602

  19. Barbara – my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. You were blessed to have such a wonderful man and great Elk with you for so long. He will be dearly missed by so many, but also will be remembered with wonderful memories.

  20. As a requirement for membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in the USA, Peter made an explicit profession of faith in God. May this same God grant Peter eternal repose, let perpetual light shine upon him, and may he rest in peace.

  21. Barbara, It is with heavy heart that we thank God for having Peter touch our lives at Elkdome and now depart to his Everlasting Home above. Your loving commitment to Peter is one we should all strive to achieve. Peter’s booming voice at Elks Bingo and Trustees meeting shall be sorely missed. May the Lord be with you.

  22. Barbara – I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I have many fond memories of the both of you during bowling so many years ago. Peter was an inspiration to us all. All my best and God Bless.

  23. So sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. I remember Peter all the way back to Freedom Hill Elementary and had classes with him throughout until graduation in 1970. He was truly a great guy and will be missed.

  24. I work with Pete Steamfitters Local 602, he was liked and well known for the work he did with the Union. He will be missed.

  25. Barbara: Mere words can not begin to express our thoughts at this difficult time. Peter shared his passion for getting things done. We had talked and reflected in the past few weeks about “what it takes to do it right”. He led by example. All who knew him are blessed to have him as a part of our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

  26. Barbara, It has been an honor to interact with you and Peter at the Elks Lodge. As a relatively new member, you both made me feel welcome each time we met at various functions or just hanging out in the lounge. Peter will be sorely missed, his efforts and contributions were many.

  27. To Family and Friends, Peter spent alot of time at my house on Ayr Hill Ave. during our HS years. He was always kind and gentle and these qualities were so very endearing. I will never forget how friendly he was when I came to Madison from another school. Life is a mystery. Rest in Peace Friend.

  28. Barbara, My thoughts and prayers to you and this great loss. Peter had so much knowledge and such a worker. The Elks has lost a wonderful person. I have enjoyed working with both you and Peter, we will all be lot with out him.

  29. Dear Barbara, I am deeply saddened at the news of pete’s passing. I have many fond memories that I will treasure. He was a man who could be counted on. The lodge brotherhood and fellowship will sorely miss him. Please accept my prayers and condolences. There is a hole in the world that cannot be filled at Lodge 2188 BPOE. Lewis Frogale

  30. I first knew Peter in second grade at Freedom Hill Elementary School and remember him well from those days and from high school. He was a great guy and had many friends. I was very sorry to hear of his passing – far too soon – and am sorry that I won’t have a chance to see him again.

  31. Peter, May you rest in peace, my friend. I still remember working construction with you with Steamfitters Local 602, for Poole and Kent Mechanical (at Reagan National Airport’s New Terminal-Winter of 97-98 was so cold here), to surprisingly find out that I grew-up less than a block away from you and your family, in Vienna, Va. I will, also, always appreciate your friendliness in inviting me to the Elks Lodge for dinner, circa 1997, where I got to meet Barbara. Steamfitters’ 602 misses you, and I sure do, too. Your family is in our prayers at this time.
