R. Lee Whitenton

LTC R. Lee Whitenton, USA (Ret.), was preceded in death by his parents, A. Lee Whitenton & Caroline D. Whitenton. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Colleen M. Whitenton; his children, Cheri L. Maxwell, Nancy J. Quinlan, Colette R. Mozingo, Tonya M. Whitenton, SPC Sean A. Whitenton, TX ARNG, 1st Sgt. Joseph A. Reconnu, USMC, CWO3 Thomas A. Reconnu, USMC; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; & his brothers, John W. Whitenton & William J. Whitenton. R. Lee Whitenton had a successful career as a Senior Consulting Engineer with Computer Sciences Corporation, & as Vice President of Nichols Research Corporation, follwing his retirement from active duty in 1988 after 21 years of honorable service. His personal decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters, & the Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters. To Lee’s Family, I worked for and with Lee since joining CSC in 2000. He is a most honorable gentleman, a great boss, and a good friend. My deepest sympathies in your loss.
