Raymond Slingerman of Vienna, VA died on Friday, April 26, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. Loving husband of 66 years to Joan A. Slingerman; devoted father of Raymond (Chris), Ronald (Julie), Robbie and Roger (Monica) Slingerman. He is also survived five grandchildren, Katie, Gretchen, Veronica, Rynear and Rory. Raymond was a devoted Catholic family man who loved sports, served in WWII in the Army Air Corps and was a founding father and member of Westwood Country Club. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the RSC of San Joaquin, 2339 West Hammer Lane, Suite C, PMB #233, Stockton, CA 95209.

Mr. Slingerman will be missed by many….he was a funny guy Loved seeing him at all the boys sporting events…leaning on the fence and smoking his cigar…not sure when I started to call him “big Daddy” but he always had a smile for me when I called him that …..xxx Donna and Allan Strama
Thinking of you today,especially on this day Apr 26th. I am sure dad and Mr. Slingerman are having some good laughs.It was always very nice to see you both it brought back many childhood memories. My heart goes out to you and your family. On behalf of the Tessitores we hope you find peace quickly.
Joan and sons. My heart goes out to all if you, especially you Joan. I am so glad I got to see you both last time we were in Vienna under same unfortunate circumstances. Interesting, Raymond passed on Andrews (Dads) birthday. I am sure their playing golf where it’s not Too hot. Lets hope they made the cut. Mrs. Slingerman, Raymond, Ronnie and Robbie, I am deeply saddened at the passing of Mr Slingerman. You guys have been a part of my life for a long time. I was unable to attend the service as I didn’t find out until late the night before. I hope our paths will cross in the near future. Until then I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I will always remember Mr Slingerman as a gentleman with so much class. All my best. Coach Hannah
