Raymond Lampsa

Raymond Lampsa died peacefully in his sleep at Commonwealth Health and Rehab Center in Fairfax, VA, on October 14, 2015 at the age of 97. He was born in Dollar Bay, MI, where he graduated from Michigan Technological University in 1941 with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as an engineer at Bendix Corporation in South Bend, IN, for almost 40 years. After retiring in 1980, he moved to the Village Green Community in Vero Beach, FL. A golf enthusiast and dog lover, he is survived by his son Michael Lampsa, daughter Nancy T. Goldman (Rick); stepson Jeffery Slater (Brett); and grandson Erik Tucker (Dana). He was preceded in death by his wife Sallie and brothers Jim and Jack. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Dollar Bay. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
