He attended Steinmetz High School where he played football, worked on the stage crew and was a member of the National Honor Society. He welcomed two more daughters, Sharon and Susanne, in later years. After 30 years of marriage, he lost his wife, Joyce, to cancer.
In 1996, he met Marilynn Johnston at a church dance and they married the same year. Together, they enjoyed traveling, going to the movies and nice dinners out. He worked as an electrical engineer for various companies throughout his life until his retirement in 2001.
Throughout his life, his devotion and faith in God remained his primary focus. He was passionate about helping others improve their faith and relationship with God and also strongly believed in the power of prayer.
He was a softball coach to his daughters, a CCD teacher for the church for many years, an avid gardener of tomatoes and an advocate for healthy eating and living.
