Rev. Reed Albert Greninger, age 92, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the National Lutheran Home in Rockville, MD. Born in Pennsylvania, he served as Pastor for 50 years in the greater NY area at Grace Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, NY and Ascension Lutheran Church, Franklin Square, NY, and had lived the last 10 years in Fairfax, Va. He is survived by his cherished wife, Madeline, sister, Ruth Hough of Williamsport, PA, sons, Edward (Mary) of Jackson, NJ and Paul (Virginia) of Santa Fe, NM, and his beloved grandchildren, Catherine and Caroline. He was preceded in death by his loving first wife, Grace. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.

Pastor Greninger was my first minister at Ascension Lutheran Church. He presided at my wedding and baptized my two boys. He was a wonderful, spiritual man of the Lord who made a difference in my life.
