Richard Allen Newby, 72, of Centreville passed peacefully on June 21, surrounded by his family. He is the loving husband of Barbara Newby; father of Karen (Sean) Fitzsimmons, Chris Newby and Brian Newby; grandfather of Hailey Fitzsimmons, Emily Fitzsimmons and Joey Fitzsimmons; brother of Barbara Jean Perrone, Mary Ann Robbins, Norman Newby, Helen Niles and Donna Crump and uncle to many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 19, 1:00 pm, at St. David's Episcopal Church, 5150 Macomb St NW, Washington DC.
