Robert E. Scully, age 82, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, Veterans Day, at home in Greenspring Village, Springfield, Virginia. A proud veteran of the Navy, served in the Philippines in 1944-45. He is survived by his sons, John, Robert, Jr. & Tom of the Washington, DC area & Bill of Rye, New York; two grandsons & nine granddaughters. Born in Buffalo, New York, he lived in Springfield, Pennsylvania for 35 years until retiring to St. Michaels, Maryland from 1988-2007, prior to moving to Greenspring Village. A reception will be held for friends at Greenspring Village on Monday, November 23 at 6pm.
