Robert F. Stauffer

Robert F. Stauffer, age 85, of Vienna, VA, died on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Reston Hospital Center after battling Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
Bob was the loving husband of 54 years to Jeanne C. Stauffer; devoted father of Mark (Susan) and Scott (Tina Marie Shaver); cherished grandfather of Brian (Laura), Robert, Katherine and one grandchild due in February. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and brother, Richard (Sandra) Stauffer of La Crosse, WI.
Born in Owatonna, MN and raised in La Crosse, WI, Robert graduated from the University of Wyoming, was a member of the ROTC and Kappa Sigma Fraternity and served as an Army officer in Germany. After military service, he earned a Juris Doctorate from the George Washington University School of Law. He was a tax attorney for the US Chamber of Commerce and later served as General Counsel for the National Coal Association in Washington, DC. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and loved spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 2589 Chain Bridge Rd., Vienna, VA 22181 on Saturday, October 25 at 11 am. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium at a later date.
