Guestbook

  1. Bob was a special man who blessed all of us. He was the patriarch of a special family and all those who worked at Ace Federal. For me, he really had a finesse for how to help me grow as a court reporter and which jobs to send me on. I respected him a great deal. My prayers are extended to the family at this sad time.

  2. We have enjoyed being neighbors with Bob for the last 18 years, since we moved to Vienna. Coming or going, he always had a smile. He was interested in and supportive of our kids’ activities. He was an all around good guy. He will be missed. Our condolences to the family. Maureen and Marty Cohen

  3. For many of us, Bob was much more than a boss. He was also a mentor and a father figure to those who passed through Ace-Federal in our early and mid 20s. It was a privilege to know Bob, and I remember fondly my years at 444 North Capitol Street.

  4. I met Mr. Monick at age 23 at Central Fidelity Bank as a customer service representative on April, 1979 and Mr. & Mrs. Monick has been in my life every since. I will miss them both for being there for me and after Mrs. Monick passed away he and I would talk twice a week and in June,2015 when my husband passed he told me that no matter what time it was his phone was open to me to call him anytime. Mr. Monick was another father to me and I am heart broken and will never forget his kindness that he showed me all the time. May god be with his family in which he and Mrs. Monick loved so dearly.

  5. We would like to offer our deepest sympathy to the Monick family on the death of our Uncle and Your Father. He was always a pleasant and Happy Uncle. Really enjoyed talking to him on the phone or in person. Prayers coming your way. Rest in Peace Uncle Bob!!!

  6. My deepest condolences to Rob and Mike and the entire Monick family. Bob gave me my start in court reporting, always encouraging and supportive. But more importantly, there was a genuine warmth in him that gave the employees — especially the younger ones who often came from other cities — a feeling of family. Bob was everybody’s dad.

  7. Bob and family were great neighbors here in Falls Church, he always had a wave and smile. He was so good to my daughters, Wendy and Cindy.
