The years Bob and I shared working together will always be with me. Bob had a great sense of humor; he really enjoyed jokes and riddles and funny stories. For example Bob once placed an advertisement in the “For Sale” listings at work for a migraine headache that he was willing to give away for free, and another time Bob posted signs that he lost a $20 bill and was offering a $20 to anybody that found it and returned it to him! I am thankful for Bob’s patience with my ASL efforts and all that he taught me. His suggestion to fingerspell words while reading helped improve my speed more than anything. Bob was a hard worker and recently earned a promotion. Sometimes we rode Metrorail and shuttle buses together to and from work. It will not be easy to see his chair empty. For a long time on the trains and buses I will still be expecting to see Bob with his orange backpack with the “Remove before flight” tags. Memories of Bob will stay with me always…
My sympathies and prayers go out to the Flavin family. I am especially sad for the children: Arthur, Heidi and Richie. I pray God will comfort them during this most difficult time. Aso, I pray the Lord will strenthen Kathy Flavin & give her His peace.
To the Flavin family, My mother and I are deeply sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and may Bob rest in peace. God be always with you and your family.

My sympathies and prayers go out to the Flavin family.

I’m so saddened to hear about the loss. May you find solace and comfort from God’s word.
Ms. Falvin, In your time of grief I want to share the word of God and hope it will comfort you in your family during your time of bereavement; may GOD bless you and your family and I thank you for being such a great person who always helped me when I needed it. Timothy 4:6-8 6 For I am already on the point of being sacrificed; the time of my departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. If there is anything I can do to assist you in the future please do not hesitate to call upon the Smith Family.
To the family and friends of Bob Flavin: I am deeply saddened to learn of Bob’s death. He made work enjoyable – always ready with a smile and a gesture (in more ways than one!:) of friendship. We laughed together as he taught me ASL phrases (Dave Sultan is not kidding about Bob’s endless patience nor sense of humor!), and always, always, was the consummate professional in his work. He kept me on my toes while on Watch; and ensured the smooth flow of information among his teammates. Holding him close in my memories…as I hope you do in yours.
To Robert’s family, I was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Robert. My deepest condolence and prayer goes out to each of you during this time of bereavement. May each and every one of you cherish the good times you’ve had with him. He was a good friend anyone could ask for.
