Robert Joseph Brill

Robert Joseph Brill was born to Joseph Brill and Anita Seymour in Cleveland Ohio on June 28, 1938. Bob, as most people called him, graduated from John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Economics degree. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Reserves and later worked as a civilian employee for thirty-seven years with the Army. He worked in personnel for the Army in Texas, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Germany, and Washington DC. He retired as Deputy Director of Human Resources for the Corps of Engineers.
Bob met his wife, Linda Cornell, in Charleston, SC. They were married in May of 1966. They have two children. His eldest, Jeannette Calhoun lives in Gastonia, NC with her husband Ken. His youngest, Michael Brill lives in Leesburg, VA with his wife Tara. Bob also has five grandchildren: Joe, Katherine, and Danielle Calhoun and Jarod and Jeannette Brill. They all lovingly refer to him as PopPop.
Bob and Linda lived in Vienna for 32 years before moving to Charlotte NC where they have lived since. Bob was active with many of the social committees at St Mark Catholic Church in Vienna and spent time after he retired playing golf and going on cruises with his wife.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 28, from 11:00 am until noon at St. Mark Catholic Church, 9970 Vale Rd, Vienna, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the viewing. Interment at Farifax Memorial Park will follow the Mass.
Donations may be made in Bob's memory to the American Heart Association.
