I would like to extend deepest sympathy to Lem’s family on behalf of myself and Laurie Naylor, my colleague on the Virginia Chamber Orchestra Board, as she is not able to access the Internet. Lem was a fine gentleman and a wonderful board member. He will be greatly missed by all of us who were privileged to know him.
My sincere condolences to Lems family. He was a great supporter of the Arts and a model board member of the Virginia Chamber Orchestra for over three years. As a gracious friend, Lem always had a kind word and a quick smile. He made a difference in the lives of so many, and we will always fondly remember Lem.
We will miss you, Lem. Sondra
Deepest sympathy. Lem was in my high school graduating class. (1954) He was a dear friend and will be missed by many here in TX.
You are missed by so many. You were a kind and caring gentleman. It was only over this past year that I got to know you, as we crossed paths at the Black Tie Club and The McLean Orchestra. I was struck by how involved you were and how giving of your time and resources. Thank you, Lem, and God bless you. Pamela
Always a smile and a hello

Anita and family, I know that this is a very difficult time. It’s never easy to lose someone you love but the Bible promises us at John 5:28,29 that you will see Robert again. Until then may your hearts be filled with the wonderful memories of joyful times spent together as you celebrate a life well lived. Please accept my condolences.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I met or rather he got to know me during the course of this year’s Embassy Series. I do editorial work for the series. I found Lem to be have that rare combination of kindness and curiosity about others which I admire more than anything in people. He made me feel welcome every time I saw him. He made a great ambassador for the series. Regards and condolences, Gary Tischler.
I met Lem was a kind gentlemen whom I had the pleasure of meeting June 2009 at a very tough time in my life. He helped me out and made me feel good about myself.. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
