roberto cerutti

November 18, 1950 ~ February 21, 2026

Born in: Milan, Italy
Resided in: Oakton, Virginia

Roberto Cerutti, 75, of Oakton, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2026, after a two-year illness.

Born in Milan, Italy, Roberto spent most of his life there, where he studied, worked, and later owned a scissors factory that he led with integrity and care for his employees. In April 2022, he moved to Virginia to be reunited with his son’s family, embracing this new chapter with enthusiasm and warmth.

In a short time, Roberto became a beloved member of the local community. He taught Italian at the Herndon Library and eagerly attended English classes at Saint Mark School in Vienna. He was known for his generous spirit, his deep love of family, and his joy in bringing people together — especially around the table. His lasagna, pesto, and traditional Italian pastries were shared with friends and neighbors who quickly became extended family.

Roberto shared a lifelong love story with his wife, Patrizia. Their marriage began as high school sweethearts and grew through sixty years of devotion, always side by side through life’s joys and challenges.

He is survived by his wife, Patrizia; his son, Diego; his daughter-in-law, Lucia; and his cherished grandchildren, Luca, Elisa, and Mattia. He also leaves his beloved dog, Rughi, a constant and faithful companion. He will be joining his loving parents, Lidia and Gianfranco.

Roberto will be remembered as a kind, dependable, and deeply devoted family man — someone you could always count on.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation in memory of Roberto Cerutti on Thursday, March 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Money & King Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any humane society or animal rescue organization in his memory, in gratitude for the love and care that helped save his beloved dogs Rughi, Rosie, and Molly.
