Rosalie A. Breckenridge of Reston, VA passed away peacefully at home on Friday December 30, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Tony Breckenridge; and devoted mother of Sharon DeRosa-Ostrom (Rich) and Sandra Sugrue (Jay). She is survived by three grandchildren, David Sugrue, Kevin Sugrue (Lauren), and Jeff Sugrue (Katie); four great-grandchildren, Norah, Ayden, Rose, and Gibson Sugrue; and loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Buddy Allen and grandsons, John Michael Sugrue and Tony DeRosa. Visitation will be held at 10a.m until Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m., on Wednesday January 4, 2017 at St. John Naumann Catholic Church, 11900 Lawyers Rd., Reston, VA. Interment to follow at National Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tony DeRosa Foundation, 1041 Linden Avenue, Wilmette, IL 60091.

My deepest sympathy to Sharon and Sandra and your families on the passing of your dear Mom. I befriended your Mom at SJN at the 5 P.M. Saturday Mass many years ago and we maintained that friendship until the end. She always spoke so highly about her family and was especially proud that one of her great grand-children was named after her. I will miss her smile and optimism despite adversity and trials in her life but most of all our cherished friendship. May she rest in peace with the angels during this Christmas season.
