Joel & I just wanted let you all know that you are in our prayers and thoughts. Pops was a good husband and father and he will truely be missed. Joel and Susie
I was very saddened to learn that Russ passed away. He was a great member of the Fairfax Lions’ Club and a wonderful friend. Russ will be missed. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Russ Preuit became a member of our Lions Club in August 2005. Twice a month, he sat next to me during our dinner meetings. Coffee with cream – no sugar. No desert thanks, too much sugar. A couple of stories about his time in the army. A joke or two – or a laugh at one I told. Russ enjoyed being a Lion. He liked doing what he could at the three annual fruit sales, helping sell Entertainment Books, and he seemed proud to be a member of a club that works to help fight vision problems in the local community and around the world. He was truly a nice man and I will miss him.
To the family of Mr. Preuit my thoughts and prayers are with you. I work at the American Legion where I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Preuit during their Tuesday night meetings he was a delight and will be missed by all who knew him. God Bless.
Hal and I enjoyed playing bridge with Russ on Tuesdays and Friday evenings. He loved his bridge and was good at it. Russ was a gentleman of the old school and he will be missed. Our hearts go out to all his loved ones.
We were saddened to hear of Russ’s passing. We enjoyed playing bridge with him on Tuesday afternoons. He loved the game and played very well. He will be missed by the group. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and him at this difficult time.
We all begin this life at Gods pleasure. We live and serve while on this earth at Gods pleasure. We leave this life, all at Gods pleasure. God bless all or Russ’s Kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Bless all his friends and all the people Russ touched with his service in Fairfax Lions Club. We will all miss Lion Russ. He was a super nice man.
To all of the Preuit family, My sincere condolences on the passing of your father, grandfather, and great grandfather. There are no words that make this difficult time any easier. Russ was a gentle man with a good heart who always enjoyed a good laugh. We will always remember him for that, and for all the good he did for our club and the community that was helped by him giving his time to our service projects. Russ, may you rest in peace.
Being a snowbird, I didn’t have too many opportunities to get to know Russ very well, but on the few times occasions I did have, I always came away with a strong sense of bonding and a feeling that this is a very special person special. The last time was a visitation to the Clifton Lions Club in June and again this short time together had a profound affect on me in that I wanted to know him better. Reading other people words now validate my sense that Russ Pruitt was a person of strong character and kind heart who strived to help others and make this a better place. My condolences to the Pruitt family.
To Russ Preuit’s Family… I always found Russ to be an engaging and straight forward person, friendly to all; who tempered his frankness with kindness; who liked a good laugh as well as anyone; and who loved his family and his friends in the Lions Club. He also took great fun in contributing to his community around him, both individually and collectively.
Russ was a Great Guy and a fabulous Lion. I even admired his West Point education even though i am a Annapolis graduate,
While I had only met Russ a few months ago. I truly respected his serve to his community and his commitment to the Lion’s club. May God comfort his family at his passing, and know that they will be together again some day. Russ will be missed.
I am very sorry to hear that Russ passed away. I will continue to keep your family in my daily prayers.
