I can recall Mom as far back as being barely able to stand. She was peeling carrots in the sink while calling to me to stay near. Mom was witty when it came to handling people’s social interactions, she had a style that left a otherwise touchy situation with the involved parties leaving laughing and/or smiling. I miss her humor the most! I love you, Mom. Daughter Michelle
Ever since I met Louise, when I was about 10 years old, I was fascinated with her voice and her laugh that made everyone laugh with her. When we got together, she always added a sparkling and funny note that put us at ease. Many years ago, we all gathered in a room, and Andy started telling a funny story, as he often did. This one was about his first dance with Louise, where he was drawn to her when he thought she said that he had nice hair! Louise interrupted with her usual low key quip, and drawled “I didn’t say ‘nice hair’. I said he looked like a bear!” Everyone burst into laughter, and Andy gave his usual look of mild disapproval at being upstaged, followed by a softening of his eyes, as if to say: “Isn’t she cute! ” What a loving pair they made! Miss them so much!
A candle was lit for the decedent.
