Ruth E. Swift, 81, of Vienna, Va., died on Monday, November 28, 2011 at home. Loving wife of Joe Swift, devoted mother of Brian and his wife Joann; cherished grandmother of A. J. Swift and sister of John Tully and Jeanne Purcell. She is also survived by 4 nephews and 2 nieces. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Capital Caring, 2900 Telestar Court, Falls Church, Va 22042. The family requests that those attending services wear bright colored clothing and not black.
