God bless you all at this time. All my life I learned from Mr. Savia how to be kind and calm. He was a truly special and amazing man and I know my beloved Dad was at the gates of heaven to greet him and they are still serving as they did together all their lives.
Mrs. Savia, Lynn, Karen, Mary and family: I am really sorry to hear of Mr. Savia’s passing. Such a great loss. He was so kind and gentle and never a harsh word to people he would meet. I truly enjoy knowing him over the years and am happy to have seen him in Vienna over the 4th of July. He will be missed by many many people. He was loved by everyone in the Vienna community and by the people from OLGC and St. Marks church. I hope over the next few days the memories you share help turn the sadness into warm felt laughter. Take care and God Bless you all. Patty Payne Friend and Plum Street Neighbor

Karen, I’m very sorry for your loss.
For the Savia Family, I am very saddened to hear of Mr. Savia’s passing and my prayers and condolences reach out to all of you. It wasnt that long ago that I saw him at my uncles funeral in Vienna…John Haslam! We talked for a bit and as always I left with the impression that I felt as a kid…one of, if not the warmest most genuine CLASS act people I have ever met! His passing leaves a huge void for countless people but none more than his family who he loved and cherished so much! RIP Mr. Savia….say hello to my Uncle John!
Mary and Family, I was very saddened to hear of your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences.
Sam Savia was a wonderful man. I am sure my dad was there to welcome him into heaven! The Purcells will be praying for Gert and the Savia family in this very difficult time.
I was very saddened to read of the passing away of Sam Savia. I grew up in Vienna(Dogwood Street) so we were neighbors for many many years. My prayers and thoughts are with the entire Savia Family for their loss. Sincerely, Pam Anderson “If one lives in the hearts he or she has left behind then one never dies”

Dear Savia Family: I am so sorry for the great loss of your Father, Sam.He was a very kind man,and very loving.even in his voice, you could hear his love, and kindness and concern for you! Not many people can say they have that gift!He did! He was a great friend to my Dad, Oscar Sessions, and they chummed around a lot, playing golf, and having fun with each other. He was always very concerned for my Dad,and he was always there for him, in his later years. I went to school, and know the Savia kids. They are all like Sam, kind and fair, and caring! May God Bless all of you at this time of loss, and know, how blessed you were to have him, be your Dad! Much Love, Nancy M. Sessions 0,XI would of been with you all, but I have broncitis badly.
My wife are I were truly saddened when we were informed of Sam’s passing. He gave so much to our community and we feel privileged to have known him. Your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. There will never be another one like Sam. God Bless!
Please know that your friends share your loss. Sam will always be remembered for the “Gentleman” that he was. An end of an era. Agape
There was never a time in my life when I didn’t know Mr. Savia (I can no more call him Sam than I could have called my father Bob). From my earliest memories of the fire department, through playing ball with him calling the plate or the bases, and later as a member of the fire department, I don’t believe I ever heard him raise his voice. He was one of the finest gentlemen that I have ever met. I am sorry for your loss and the loss to the community. Rowland Hancock
