Sharon Ann Sherman

Sharon Ann Sherman, 71, of Shouse Village in Fairfax County died on Friday, July 25, 2008 at Fairfax INOVA Hospital. Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ronald L. Sherman; three wonderful children, Michael D. Sherman, Cathrine S. Hancher, & Steven B. Sherman; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; & her mother Lois Peters.
Sharon was born in Sheridan, Wyoming & grew up in various locations on the West Coast, finally settling in Portland & Seaside, Oregon. It was in Seaside she met her husband, then a soon-to-be 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. As an Air Force wife she moved with her family to many bases in the U.S. & in Europe before her husband retired in 1979. The Sherman family settled in the Vienna, Virginia area & has lived in Shouse Village for 28 years.
Known for her humor & loving attitute, Sharon became the ultimate homemaker for her husband & children. After the children married & began to raise their own families, Sharon traveled throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, & Europe with her husband while he was an aviation communications executive. She will be so greatly missed not only by her extensive family but by her close friends from northern Virginia, all over the U.S. & Europe.
