Sharyl Jean Abbel, age 79 of Great Falls, VA passed away on Sunday December 18, 2016 at her home. Beloved wife of the late David Ray Abbel; devoted mother of Sharyl Stegeman, Sharie Stegeman, and David M. Abbell; daughter of the late Ivan Woodrow Bryant and Eunice Willa Bryant; sister of Garyl Bryant. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Michael Stegeman and Amy Pedroni. Memorial Services will be held at Vienna Presbyterian Church, 124 Park Street, NE, Vienna, VA on Thursday, December 22 at 10:30a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The City of Fairfax Band Association www.fairfaxband.org

Sharie and David, We are so sorry to hear of your loss. I also remember your mom from our days at Fairfax High School and we have fond memories of your mother teaching our daughter Deborah to play the piano. Your parents were good neighbors. Condolences also to your Uncle Gary who was one of my classmates at Fairfax High.
