Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My thoughts and prayers are with Sheryl, Cameron and their families. The Herrin family are lifelong neighbors, friends and members of the Pepperdine Marching Society. 🙂 Fond memories.

  2. The Herrin and Jones families were closer than family and better than friends. Mrs. Herrin was such a warm and generous woman who made my growing up years so rich. Whenever Mrs. Herrin, Rosalie, Sheryl and I were together, chaos would ensue. My most fond memories include this wonderful family.

  3. Deepest condolences to friends and family of Shirley. Fond memories will always be with me of times together. I think and will continue to think of her from time to time.

  4. Mrs. Herrin was my favorite teacher and the only teacher I remember fondly. I had her for Social Studies in middle school and then again in highschool. She always treated me like one of her daughters, like she did all of us girls. I remember one day when I wore a dress and heels (which was very unusual for me, especially in 7th grade) and one of my straps broke on my shoe. She called me over to her desk after class and proceeded to fix the strap on my shoe with a stapler! Then when I had her again four years later, this time in the highschool, she remembered me! I developed a love for history because of her that endures to this day. Her classes were so interesting and informative so much so that I remember being annoyed when a certain troublemaker kept interrupting her riveting stories from times past. History sprang off the page for me and it was all because of her. Prayers and blessings to the family from a former student who is now a Mom of four and a recent Grandmother too. She definitely touched my life, so a BIG thanks to her.
