Guestbook

  1. Heartfelt condolences to Marie and Laura for the passing of your mother. I knew her briefly, but I know she enjoyed life and her loving family. Dolores Mita

  2. Sending heartfelt sympathy to Shirley’s beloved family, friends and church members who loved her so very much. Her wonderful sense of humor, her style and vivacious spirit will be greatly missed. With love, Susie Prentice

  3. Dear Marie Ann and Laura: Please accept my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family at this difficult time. Your Mom was always upbeat, even when not feeling well, and had a great outlook on all aspects of life. She was the “card lady” to her friends; never forgetting a birthday or special occasion. She will be greatly missed. I will never forget the happy times Dick and I shared with your mother and father over many, many years. In time I hope your happy memories will sustain you. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

  4. Our sympathy and prayers are with your family at this time. Shirley was a very special lady and we loved her very much. She will be missed by all of us.

  5. For 38 years I have had this wonderful neighbor, Shirley. I will miss her always appropriate and funny cards, telephone calls and just a plain HI Neighbor. Marie, Laura and family my sincere sympathy.

  6. Shirley adopted me 8 years ago when I joined OUMC. She became my very closest friend ans “Pew Pal”. I will always miss her.

  7. Shirley was a dear friend from the day I joined the Woman’s Club of Fairfax. Always so upbeat and fun to be with as we, also, attended Red Foxes (Hat) events. God broke the mold when Shirley was born.I will miss her smiling face and encouraging words. My deepest sympathy Mariann and Laura. Love, Millie

  8. Shirley was lovely and always cheerful. It was such a joy to work with her and to be her friend. She was my first legal assistant and taught me much about the courthouse and how to practice law. She was treasure. Shirley and Eddie were the best!

  9. I served on the Fairfax Interservice Club Council with Shirley for many years. She was a delight to know. She always taught me something new about the history of Fairfax and shared old photos with me for the Virginia Room at the Library. When I retired she invited me to lunch at the Woman’s Club, where she had a nice bag of gifts for me. I am so sorry I missed the notice of her death or I would have attended the funeral. I will miss her and am sorry I did not get to say good bye. At one point Eddie volunteered at the Library and I got to know him well, too. They did so much for their community and will not be replaced. My deepest condolences to the family.
