Stephen Jeffrey Lomont

Stephen Jeffrey Lomont, age 64, of Vienna, Vienna passed away unexpectedly on October, 2,
2025 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Washington, DC on June 6, 1961, Steve was the son of Thomas Francis Lomont and Florence Margaret Edgington (Buckley).

At an early age, Steve discovered his passion for woodworking and became a master carpenter,
working for Alpine Pool & Design for over 30 years along with many side projects, including a
multiyear renovation of his home. He later became a restorer and seller of antiques, and in
2025 opened his own antique store in Front Royal, which became his passion. In addition to
woodworking & antiques, Steve loved animals, both his own pets and the wildlife that came
into his yard. Above all, Steve was proud of his two children and his granddaughter, and always had a true “dad joke” to make them laugh.

Steve is survived by his wife, Janet; his two children Christina (Michael) Wisniewski and Thomas (Ginger) Lomont; his granddaughter Caroline; his three siblings, Deborah Fleegal, Julie (John) Houk, and Michael Lomont; and many nieces & nephews.

A service will be held on November 8th at 2 p.m., with a visitation prior from 1 to 2 p.m., at
Money & King in Vienna. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American
Cancer Society or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
