Thomas A Miller, Jr. Colonel, US Army (Ret), age 81, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at his home in Fairfax, VA. Beloved husband of Erika Schach Miller; devoted father of John Alan Miller (Margaret), Elizabeth Ann Miller, Patricia Miller Link (Philip), stepfather of Daun Kopka, Lisa Robinson, Roland Schach (Marti), Raphael Schach (Gretchen), Thomas Schach (Barbara) and Heide Murphy (John). Also survived by 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Friday, December 6th from 5-8 PM at the Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, Va. Funeral services at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Col. Miller had a special loyalty and dedication to his brothers in arms, the Steel Tigers.   3. Tom and I knew each other on active duty in the Army and we both commanded the 1st Tank Battalion, 77th Armor and separate cavalry squadrons. I appreciated his guidance and he will be sorely missed. A fellow Steel Tiger.

It’s Rev 21:4- ” And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. May this scripture bring comfort to you all, for this is a loving promise from our heavenly Father, a promise that soon all suffering will end, especially death.
