  1. Oh such a nice picture of my dear brother Tom. So sorry for all of us with his pasing but special condolance to his immediate family (his lovely wife, beloved son and daughter in law and his cherished grandson). When growing up the word college wasn’t a word passed around in our neighborhood but Tom (who was brilliant from the ‘get-go’) most assuredly was a candidate. So instead young Tom (fresh out of high school) joined the military. He soon built an incredible career traveling the world over numerous times. Maybe God figured it was time to bring a brilliant mind; a brilliant writer and a decent honorable man to help out up there. I love you Tom and will see you before too long. Love your sister Linda Here’s some daffodils for you dear Tom. I too remember the parade and our Tacoma.

  2. The moment I met my Uncle Tom I put him up on a pedestal and he never slipped off all these years. He had so many wonderful gifts, handsome, deep voice, artistic, confident, and class. I’ll miss talking about his beloved Nationals and the world series (I shall wear the hat with pride). I’ll miss his emails and the wonderful way he had of telling a story. But I will cherish the memories, 2001 Preakness, the resident ghost, 1980 London, all the info on the places he would be assigned to and phone calls on holidays. I’ve been blessed to have him for my Uncle.

  3. I will always remember Tom as thoughtfull , generous and upright man who loved his wife Teresa and family dearly. He was an American patriot who served his country with distinction. A man of character, Tom was selfless in his generosity toward his fellow human beings. May he rest in peace eternally with our Creator and may God comfort his wife, family and friends who loved him dearly. Dom Perriello

  4. Marc, I left a msg of condolences and that I will not be able to attend on the 27th but have some doubts it got sent. My love to your mother. Ogden Miller

  5. Tom has left an indelible mark with his family and friends. He was a kind, loving and fun friend, father and husband to Teresa. His love of family and friends was so much a part of him, as was his love for animals. I think I can almost see him re-uniting with “BOZO” (a dog that clowned its way into Teresa and Tom’s heart). I am certain BOZO greeted Tom when he journeyed to that more peaceful place, greeting him with love and lots of “wet doggy kisses”. But I’m sure all those loving animals Tom and Teresa cared for joined the throng to greet Tom. Blessed journey Tom, you will be sorely missed. Teresa and Marc, please know how much you are loved in your time of grief, my deepest condolences. Mitch

  6. I will always remember my Uncle Tom as a loving, kind, caring, and generous man. He made me feel loved and adored. I admired him for so many reasons-his intelligence, his dedication to what he believed in, his compassion for everyone he met, and most of all, for his deep love of family. He brought so much joy into the world. I will miss him. I send my love and condolences to Aunt Teresa, Marc, Kristina, and Spencer. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  7. Tom–I will miss our talks and checking out your wonderful shop during visits . May you find lots of heavenly projects to keep you content. Tom Brunton

  8. It is such a blessing to have met Tom. He was a very special friend. Although we live in different continents, I will miss him immensely. Whenever I visited Teresa and Tom, throughout the world. he was always meeting me at the airport with a bit smile and a huge hug. He was like a brother. My heart and soul are with Teresa, Marc, Kristina and Spencer. You will be missed by all that had the priviledge of meeting you. Dear Tom have a blessed voyage. We will meet again. Mlita

  9. Teresa I’m so sorry to learn of the passing of your husband Tom. My deepest condolences to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time. Charlene VanDeWeerd

  10. We have many people in our lives family, neighbors and friends. But no one knows us quite as well or shares our deepest secrets like a life-long friend to the Smith family. Tom has been a friend of the Smith family for 38 plus years. Our deepest condolences to Teresa, Mark, Kristina, Spencer and family. Friendship does not end at death. It is eternal. We will always be thankful that we had the opportunity to get to know him better and to call him a dear friend. We will cherish his memory for years to come. In Friendship, Sorrow & Love, Brad, Kathryn & Austin Smith

  11. Tom was a wonderful and fun friend whom I respected and loved. Tom and Teresa were a lovely couple and his loss will be felt by his family and friends.
