Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Jackson Harms. I still remember when I would come over to his house and Tom would be playing his guitar with friends and always having a good time singing. I bet he is doing the same thing somewhere else.

  2. Remembering many years as neighbors and friends. May you rest in peace, Tom. May you find strength in the memories, Robin

  3. God looked around his garden, and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never, get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered, ‘Peace be thine’. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. Tom, Godspeed on your heavenly journey, my friend.

  4. Remember years at Indy 500 race when tornado warning issued and Tom told our group we had to leave and Robin didn’t want to, however, they did and we’re about 3 miles from our house when race resumed. They ended up watching race on tv at Sneiders Lots more to story but one of very few times I ever saw Robin so mad at Tom.

  5. These words came to my heart today:

    Dear Tom.
Your life was a light where our hearts are now its host,
Your spirit lives on, and we know you are close.
Your generosity and kindness made many lives much better,
Your passion to serve and honor veterans will always be remembered.
I will miss many fun days listening to you sing while playing the guitar,
And again, will always have a home locked in our hearts.
The laughter, smiles, jokes and Creedence tricks I will miss the most,
    Those who love you know…
Your spirit lives on, and we know you are close.

  6. Tom has run his race, greatly, and finished well. We can only imagine the joy he is experiencing right now! We know that Our almighty God continues to embrace Robin & Tom’s family with comfort & peace, and love.

  7. Always ready to lend an ear, a hand, an encouraging word to help a fellow veteran, Tom quickly and determinedly responded to support my disabled Korean-era veteran brother in time of transition and need. He was tireless in his heart of ministry which he shared devotedly with his beloved Robin. Well done good and faithful servant!

With respect, gratitude and a heart full of friendship we’ll remain by Robin’s side! Lynda
