Thomas Lenhert Marcey

“Pop” passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 28, 2025. He was born in Washington, DC, on January 22, 1937, the eighth child of Eva Cooke Marcey and Edward Adolph Marcey.

Thomas married his high school sweetheart, Norma Ann, on January 12, 1957, after the two met while portraying Joseph and Mary in a nativity scene at Cherrydale Methodist Church. They made their home in Vienna, Virginia, where they raised their family and became active members of Wesley United Methodist Church and the local community.

He is survived by his son, Bruce (Cheryl); grandchildren Jeffrey Jr., Jacob, Olivia (Patrick), Meredyth, and Blake Marcey; and great-grandchildren Brock and Owen. He was predeceased by his parents, Eva and Edward; his beloved wife, Norma Ann; his son, Jeffrey; and his granddaughter, Hanna.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Wesley United Methodist Church, 711 Spring Street SE, Vienna, VA.
