Peace, prayers and blessings to The Cooke Family. “God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.” A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.” I will miss you big guy! Patty Payne
If tears could build a stairway, And memories a lane, I’d walk right up to Heaven And bring you home again. I will miss you Tommy

Uncle Tommy I don’t know what to say and you know its unlike me to have a loss for words. I love u so much and we have sooo many fun times and great memories together. I’m going to miss u so much and things will never be the same without you. My family is very thankful for everyones support. It is greatly appreciated. I know we will all miss him and our own memories of him will carry on and make us smile at those random moments. Tommy would want us to be strong and keep our heads high and treasure our memories. He is with God now and has no more pain to deal with. Just remember how much love he was able to give to everyone and how much he knew we loved him. RIP Uncle Tommy <3 Sass

To the entire Cooke family – We all share in your grief and sadness. But we all were privileged to be his friends, and you his family. There are memorable moments we will never know again Toms eloquent sideline speeches, the incomparable anecdotes, that wonderfully happy smile. Tom saw the great triumphs of life as well as the misery; and always helped us enjoy in the former and rid us of the latter. Tom may be gone from this world, but he surely will be with us a long time. Bob & Kathi Swagerty
It’s been close to 40 years since I last saw Tommy when he and my brother Doug hung out at our house in Vienna everyday and played ball together. Tommy was like a family member to us. I moved far away in 1975 and had not kept in touch until now. I will always remember the boy. I never knew the man. Rest in peace Tommy. You were very loved.
Tom and Ruth Ann & Family- Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are so sorry for your lose.

At my first Madison HS baseball game when I was in 8th grade, I was more interested in the girls than the game. The first and only pitch I watched that night was Tommy hitting it out of the park to win the game! Just another hero moment for Tommy. In fond memory of a great guy, Tommy will be missed always.
To the Cooke family. What a blessing to have such a charming, wonderful, loving son/brother. Tommy made everyone that he was with feel like he was your best friend. In such a tough time my prayers are with the family and all of Tommys best friends. You made a lot of people feel special. God blessed you. Thank you for your friendship. Hoffy

I am so sorry to hear of Tommy’s death. I am a classmate of Tommy’s from JMHS class of 76. I have so many fond memories of him, walking the halls, at pep rallies and games. When I think of him I can just hear him teasing and laughing and brightening our days. I will hold you up in prayer as you journey through this sad time. Please know that Tommy was very much loved. I’ll miss you “Tommy Tu”
Dear Cooke Family, I am very sad to hear of Tommy’s passing. I will be in Augusta, Georgia on Thursday and Friday, so I will miss the services. I am sorry to not be there for support. I have so many memories of Tommy and your family. Tommy was the first one to name me “Rucksy” and it has stuck with me my whole life. I am called many other things as well, but I want go into those right now!! Your family was one of the first to welcome me to Vienna when I moved here in 1972 and Tommy was a big part of that. I still don’t know how you fit your family into the house on Tazewell Drive. One main character trait that Tommy possessed was the ability to make people laugh. The world needs more laughter and we will miss Tommy’s sense of humor. Please let me know if I can do anything to help you in any way. Best to your family and may Tommy rest in peace. Bobby
On any given Friday during the JMHS football season it was always a treat to run into Tommy. He proudly wore that football jersey on game days and he always seemed to be smiling, laughing and joking. Everybody loved Tommy and he showed us all how to live life to the fullest. T. Cooke 32, you will be remembered and missed. My deepest condolences to the entire Cooke family.
Mr. Cooke, Mrs. Cooke, Lani, Ronny and Donny– Although I have not seen you in quite some time I still feel that you are in many ways my own family. Whenever I think of growing up in Vienna your family is often in that memory. I am sorry for your loss- Tommy was such a great guy with a heart of gold. Under the boisterous exterior was a gentle and kind man. The Lord has taken him away for better things as He does with all good people. Waters and Caffi fields will have an angel keeping an eye on things and Tommy will surely be missed.
My sincere condolences go out to the entire Cooke family. He will be missed. His sense of humor and all the memories growing up will never be forgotten. Jeff Toia
Tommy was such a fixture in our neighborhood and around Madison and Vienna. It is inspiring that he was still so involved in the community he grew up in. May God bless and comfort the Cookes and their families.
