Thomas Beale, of Vienna, VA died on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Fairfax Hospital. He is the loving husband of the late Suzanne H. Beale and devoted father of Steven T. Beale, Jennifer L. Beale (Douglas R. Updegrove) and Mark L. Beale. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Christyne Beatty and 2 grandchildren, Rachel and Amanda Updegrove. Thomas is predeceased by his parents Thomas W. Sr. and Margaret D. Beale; daughter Sharon "Terry" Beale and brother Eddie Beale. Relatives and friends are invited to Mr. Beale's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Friday, June 21 from 2-4 PM. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 124 Park Street, SE, Vienna, VA 22180.

Throughout the years I knew him, I always found Tom friendly and helpful, and very dedicated to his work, especially teaching photography. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
Gill & I served with Tom and his family in Frankfurt back in the early 70’s. Tom was great to work with, always ready to help out, to take on difficilt tasks, both professionally and personally, and always with a warm smile.
Your Dad did our wedding pictures. Further, we were fraternity brothers. He was a kind and generous, gifted person. I know you will miss him more than words can tell.
