It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the shining light that was our beloved
mother, Vickie Georgelas, who left us peacefully in her sleep on June 20, 2024. Vickie was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose kindness, love, wit and wisdom touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Vickie is survived by her sons Damon and Aaron Georgelas, daughter Jessica Georgelas, daughter-in-law Alison Georgelas, and grandchildren Sophia Georgelas, Lucas Georgelas, Logan Georgelas, Beck Georgelas, and Wyatt Georgelas. She is also survived by her sister Pam Dain (James Dain), brother Cregg Jacobson (DeAnne Jacobson), innumerable nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and friends that considered her family by choice, and who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Georgelas and her parents Merrill Jacobson and Betty Ottosen Jacobson.

Mom lived a life filled with grace, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Her spirit and strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Officiant James Dain will hold a funeral service in Vienna, VA, at 11:00 a.m. on July 6th at Money and King Funeral Home, followed by a burial at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Upperville, VA, and a Celebration of Life following at Patsy’s American in Vienna, VA, at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Foundation @ www.alz.org.
