Victor Darvel Baskerville

Victor Darvel Baskerville, 58, passed away on June 26, 2026.

Born on September 23, 1967, at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C., Victor grew up in Vienna, Virginia, and graduated from George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia. Following high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

After his military service, Victor attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, where he earned his degree and began a career with Fairfax Water that spanned decades. He married Jennifer and retired from Fairfax Water in 2018.

Retirement proved a little too quiet for a man who always enjoyed staying busy. Several years later, Victor joined Valley Energy. What began as a part-time job quickly became something he genuinely enjoyed. He loved meeting people and, perhaps most of all, visiting the countless dogs who greeted him along the way.

A skilled builder and craftsman, Victor had a gift for transforming old vehicles into one-of-a-kind creations—what Jennifer often described as “art on wheels.” His projects included a 1938 Model A Rat Rod, a 1960 Willys, a 1975 AMC Gremlin, a 1950 Studebaker, and Jennifer’s 1980 MGB. Even in recent years, he remained focused on plans for his next masterpiece, a vintage fire truck restoration that reflected his creativity, ingenuity, and ability to see possibilities where others saw rust and worn-out parts.

Victor is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his dogs, Auto Pielot and Clementine Coe; his mother, Ilean Baskerville; his brother, Edward Baskerville; and his sister, Holly Duckett (Reggie).

He also leaves behind his nephews, Bronson Criales, Brock Criales, and Zackary Duckett; his nieces, Bria O’Dell, Gabrielle Duckett, Jill Kangas (Mitchell), Lindsay Perez, and Kate Holwick; his great-nephew, Bradley Perez; and his great-nieces, Hazel Perez, Halle Kangas, and Drew Kangas.

He will also be deeply missed by Jennifer’s extended family, who welcomed him as one of their own.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Whether someone knew him as a son, brother, uncle, husband, friend, coworker, or simply the guy who stopped to pet their dog, Victor will be remembered for his quick wit, mechanical talent, creativity, and ability to turn old vehicles into works of art. He left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
