Virginia D. Staats, longtime resident of Vienna, VA passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011 peacefully at home with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Ryneer A. Staats; loving mother of Raymond R. Staats of Oxford, MD, Thomas V. Staats (Hillary) of Vienna, VA, Rene S. Stevens (Ronald) of Warrenton, VA, and Marcy J. Gulden (Wes) of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Ron, Kris, Sean, Jason, and Zachary; and 8 great-grandchildren: Madison, Sam, Kelsey, Regan, Tyler, Madeline, Riley, and Gracie.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Capital Caring Hospice, 2900 Telestar Ct., Falls Church, VA 22042.

  1. Dear Tommy and Family: I was so sad to hear of the geaat loss of your Mother. I really wanted to go and pay my respects, however I have a time conflict,and won’t be able to. I so remember your Mother, at your home in Vienna, growing up and at baseball games. She was a very strong woman,and had the lovely red hair your family shares! May God bless all of you at this time,and be so greatful,you once had a woderful Mother. And she had you. God give you His grace and His peace at this time.
