William Edward Summerbell, Jr. passed away July 5, 2010. Son of the late William Edward, Sr. and Dottie Summerbell; loving husband of Evelyn Summerbell. Also his former wife Sharon Bryant and their children, Christopher Stephen, Valory Candace, William IV Summerbell and the late William III and Ronald Dale Summerbell and step-father of Safia M. Dirie. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

How well I remember his company at the family house in Washington in the late 1960s, and his honourably representing the Summerbell family at our Grandmother’s funeral in London, England, in 1971.
I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Summerbell. Each time I met him, he was extraordinarily nice and interesting. What a loss for his family. God Bless him.
