William George Hyland

January 18, 1929 ~ March 25, 2008
On March 25, 2008, William G. Hyland, 79, the former Deputy National Security Advisor to President Gerald R. Ford & the former Editor of the Influential Foreign Affairs periodical passed away. Mr. Hyland also served in the CIA & State Department for 17 years. He was the author of seven books. Mr. Hyland was considered one of the leading authorities on U.S.-Soviet relations during the Cold War.
He is survived by his beloved wife Evelyn of 53 years; two sons, William Hyland, Jr. & James Hyland of Vienna, Virginia; & four grandchildren, James, John, Victoria, & William.
Viewing will be held at Money & King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, Virginia on Friday, March 28 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 8601 Wolftrap Rd., Vienna, Virginia at 10:30am.
