DEAR WOOD FAMILY, WE WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS ARE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS WITH DEEPEST SYMPATHY AT THIS TIME OF THE LOSS OF YOUR HUSBAND, FATHER AND GRANDFATHER. WE PRAY YOU FIND COMFORT IN KNOWING HE IS IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD. MAY THE PEACE OF GOD WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS IN CHRIST JESUS. UNDER HIS WINGS, BRIAN AND TINA MORRIS
Ann (and the entire family), We know you will miss Bill, he was so much fun to be with, so enjoyable to be around and to share in his great humor. He always made us laugh. We will all be with him again one day because we know for certainty that he is now in heaven with God. Bill, we love you and we will only be sad for a short time because we know that you would want us to think of your life and the smiles you gave us and of the fact that you have now come into the presence of the Lord and are enjoying the home He has prepared for you there.
Ann, My deepest and personal sympathy to you and your entire family. Bill meant so much to my family during both happy and tragic times. He was the friend that never forgot to stay in touch. My heart aches for your loss and I have no word to ease the pain. But, Oh, those wonderful memories he left behind!
Mr. Wood was one of the greatest people I have met throughout my life of travel and adventure. He was not only a highly skilled individual in terms of his professional business skills, he was also a deeply loving Father and husband. However, the depths of the love that drove his wonderful spirit were not limited to his own best interests. He shared his love and wisdom to any and all who approached him in need. My own life has been greatly enriched from the deep wisdom and insights I gained from him. As a young boy, I remember being many miles from home, walking on the coldest of days, and having Mr. Wood wheel his big shiny Thunderbird around then come back to give me a ride home. How thankful was I? At the end of the ride, Mr. Wood looked at me and said, “Now when my grass starts growing, I’ll be expecting you to stop by.” Later in the year, when the grass started growing, I stopped by. When I told Mrs. Wood why I had come, she replied, “Oh that Billy!”
