William James Shaw, II

William James Shaw II, “Jim”, was born on October 23, 1935 in Battle Creek, Michigan and passed away on March 6, 2022 in Fairfax, Virginia. He received a B.S. in Geography from Western Michigan University and a M.A. of Arts in Cartography from the University of Washington. Following retirement from a long career in the United States Government, Jim pursued domestic and international travel and authored five books on Shortline Railroads of the United States.
Jim is survived by his wife Sandra and daughter Kimberly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bernice, and his sister Suzanne.
