Paul was a great boss – started at NARUC in 1990 – best part was he trusted that you would get the job done. He was an enormous asset to State authority while he was here at NARUC. I will miss him. brad
How saddened we were to learn of Paul’s death. What a good friend and neighbor he was to us (Barbara too!) We enjoyed so many good times together around the piano at Christmas and other times too. Thank you for being a wonderful part of our memories of McLean. God bless you and give you much peace. Sending our love to you. Carolyn and Jerry
We will remember Paul very fondly for his knowledge, dedication, and service and, of course, as a good friend to Prof. Harry Trebing and our institute.
Paul was a wonderful friend and mentor to me as a Commissioner at the state and federal levels. I often think of the good times we had at NARUC meetings. My love to you, Barbara and to your family. Gail
Paul was an incredible boss for the 18 years I worked at NARUC. I enjoyed his dry humor and remarkable administrative abilities. I am so glad that I contacted him this past March when I was in DC. We had a great conversation and he was as sharp as ever and completely up to date on all the latest political news. I am very grateful for all that Paul did for me personally and professionally. Barbara – our prayers go out to you and your family on your loss.
On behalf of Paul and Barbara’s neighbors in McLean Hamlet, please accept our heartfelt condolences. In addition to being wonderful neighbors, we are especially grateful for Paul’s service as Historian of the Hamlet. He spend nine months researching and drafting the definitive history of the Hamlet, which was re-published in our community newsletter in 2012, and highlighted in a 2013 Washington Post profile. We received many positive comments about Paul’s good work. He was always a ready and eager source of information. We will carry on the legacy of his passion and love for our wonderful neighborhood. With gratitude and sympathy, Alan Holmer President McLean Hamlet Community Association
