  1. Our thoghts and prayers are with you Candice, we all feel very blessed to have Bill be a part of our lives.

  2. Candyce, We know words cannot describe what you are feeling at this time but please know we are thinking of you. Our “Uncle Bill” was a special person that touched many hearts leaving a wonderful memory of his warmth, smile and his laugh. We are here for you any time. Love, The Baxters Ray, Denise, Niki & Madi

  3. Bill will be remembered as a most kind and generous friend and neighbor. A fellow military veteran, he was a natural leader who led by example. He will be missed.

  4. Candyce and Schmidt Family: We were saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. Bill, you and his family will remain in our prayers and thoughts.

  5. Dear Candyce and The Schmidt Family, We were shocked and saddened to learn of Bill’s passing. He enthusiastically loved life and made the most of every moment. We and our son, Doug, from a very young age, always admired him for that. We have many wonderful memories of time shared with him. He will not be forgotten. Our sympathies and our prayers are with you at this time.

  6. Dear Candyce, the Schmidt and Kaiser families, Our handsome kind Bill, so good to Nick, Bill who entertained us with daring stories from his childhood, and with whom we shared many dinners and weekends. The loss is incomprehensible. May you find support in the many people who admired Bill. Love, Peggy

  7. I was very sorry to hear of Bill’s sudden passing. I knew Bill as a child. The Schmidts lived across the street from my family in Orinda, CA and our parents were very close friends. I haven’t seen Bill in many years. But the last time I did see him, he apologized for pushing me down the driveway when I was young. We both had a good laugh. His death is a great loss to Candyce and the entire Schmidt clan. My deepest sympathies to all of you. You are in my prayers. Rest in peace, Bill. Love, Janie Reid

  8. For Candyce, Bob, Sunny, Mary, Peter, Don, Roberta, and Louise with the greatest of sympathies we send to you all of our love upon hearing of this sad news of Bill’s passing. We remember Bill fondly with his lovely smile, great personality, and kind soul. Bill was always so very kind and respectful to our parents Bill and Coralia Reid. Our reverence for the entire Schmidt family and Candyce is beyond limits and boundaries. We love each of you very much and our thoughts and prayers remain during this difficult time and in the days to come. The image of Bill at Sunny’s 80th birthday party is one we will take with us. He was so proud of her and so loving of Sunny and Robert and the entire family. It was a moment in time that is a lasting image of this wonderful man. “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience – we are spiritual beings having a human experience.” – Susan Saint James With our love and deepest sympathy, Kelly & Harry XXXXXXX OOOOOOO

  9. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Candyce and the rest of his family. I learned a lot from Bill while we worked together. Our common automotive interests increased our friendship. God speed my friend. Your checker flag was waived far too early. You will be missed. Rich and Gayle Lorenz

  10. Dear Candyce and Schmidt Family: Please accept my deepest condolences. Bill was a good friend and always had that beaming smile. This is 2015, and he is still missed.

  11. Candyce, Angela and I are so saddened to have just now read about Bill’s passing. I was looking up homes for sale in our old neighborhood and came across this news exactly 5 years to the day. We loved being neighbors with you and Bill from 1992-1996 and fondly remember his passion for maintaining his cars and overall friendliness to us. Our thoughts are with you. Scott & Angela Clark
