Albert Aaron Thomas, Jr.

albert thomas, jr.
Albert Aaron Thomas Jr. was born on 23 April 1983 in San Diego CA. Son of Robin and Albert Thomas, Albert lived in California, Maryland and Virginia. Albert attended Paul VI High School and graduated from Fairfax High School. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and in 2020 completed his certification in Comptia Security+.

He was a successful salesman specializing in appliances, working at Lowes, Home Depot, and Sears. Albert also loved sports and was an avid Redskins, National, Wizards, and Capitals fan. You could frequently find him attending the local DC-area sports games with friends, often enjoying VIP treatment and having his picture taken with the athletes. He was knowledgeable about the teams he followed and was quick to provide sports facts and speculation about the upcoming season. He also loved collecting and playing video games.

Albert also loved to travel; he attended the World Series in California and would make a point to stop at various museums or presidential libraries on his trips.

As a strong Christian Conservative, Albert worked with the Fairfax Republican Committee on campaign activities.

Albert had a kind heart and a friendly smile for everyone. His many friends were with him during his illness and will be celebrated but missed by many.

Albert is survived by his parents Albert and Robin Thomas, his sister Courtney and family in Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 28 from 10:15 am until time of Mass at 11:00 am, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 8601 Wolftrap Road, Vienna, VA. For those unable to attend, a livestream of the Mass is available on the "Tribute Wall" section of this website.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Will miss Albert very much!! I got to meet and hang out with Albert during the Washington Capitals Stanley Cup playoff run and visit with him at other outings. He was so nice and fun to be around. My heart aches for his loss. Scriptures give me so much hope in the life to come for him and others who have passed on. John 3:16 tells us that God loves us and gave His son for us so that whoever believes in him shall have eternal life and 1 Corinthians 15:51 tells us “we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed.” May God bless all who met and got to know Albert and may The Lord bring comfort and strength to all his family and friends. Rest in peace Albert and until we all meet again.

  2. We send our deepest condolences on the loss of Al. May memories bring you peace and comfort. With sympathy, Henry Tragle and family and Aaron Tragle and family

  3. Albert and I used to work at AMC Tysons Corner 16 together where we had spent time talking about various things as work was hectic, but his love for wrestling and what movie was good at the time kept me sane because I wanted to quit. We had a lot of memories together as I wished I could have spent more time with him.

  4. I met Albert through my son and nephew who went to NOVA and worked with Albert at one of his jobs. Albert was certainly a very genuine person, who enjoyed life to the fullest. A kind giant among us with a great big heart. My family and another family friend shared birthday celebrations with Albert and often we all went to the movies together. We will truly miss our friend, but know that he has gone on to a better place and we will see our friend again! Elaine Brightharp & Family!

  5. I first met Albert in 2008 when he was a student at NOVA in Annandale, VA. We shared similar interests and became friends. We even took an art class together. I learned a lot from being around him and when we often talked. We went to the movies, ate out, attended WWE performances and we loved going to Dave & Busters. He loved sports, politics and always shared his travel experiences when he returned home. Me and my family will miss our friend Albert and we pray his family heals from this great loss. We will all meet again some day!
