B. Lynne Barrack, 78, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023.
Lynne was born in Maryland on March 28, 1944 to Allan S. Hersberger and Marjorie Edwards Hersberger.
She grew up in Rockville, Maryland, and graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in 1962.
Following graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper for a short time. She married Charles Barrack on Nov. 9, 1963. After starting a family, she dedicated herself to raising their 3 daughters in Rockville, Maryland. She worked from home as a seamstress for many years.
Lynne often volunteered at her daughters’ school and supported their scouting and sporting events. She was an active member of her church, serving and teaching Sunday School there for many years.
She loved children, especially her grandchildren. In addition to spending time with family, she enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was an excellent seamstress.
Lynne is survived by her 3 daughters, Donna Burke (Tom), Laura Andrews (Brett), and Debra Vogel (Eric); 10 grandchildren, Michael Burke, Erin Serlo (Tim), Connor Burke, Zachary Andrews (Caitlin), Emily Andrews, Caleb Andrews, Logan Andrews, Cullen Vogel, Caden Vogel, and Eden Vogel; 2 great-grandchildren, Oliver Andrews and Lewis Andrews; and another great-grandchild, baby Serlo, on the way; 2 sisters, Bonita Taylor and Julia Anne Walters, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marilee Wachter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 11:30 am at Church of Christ at Manor Woods, 5300 Norbeck Road, Rockville, MD. Burial is private.

So many memories of Lynn at Manor Woods. From VBS, Womens Ministry, Preschool, Nursery and just good laughs while we talked about our grandchildren. She was an encourager to me as a single mom. Of course watching Laura, Deb and Donna grow up was a Blessing. Unfortunately with Covid so many of us lost touch. Until I see you again Lynn ???
