Charles (“Chuck”) Wright Fields, Jr., Master Plumber and plumbing business owner for over 60 years, passed away on June 3, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Emily L. Carnes, daughters Jacquelyn A. Hoell and Deborah Longeddy, son Charles W. Fields, III and grandsons Ryan, Asa and Matthew Longeddy. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ione L. Fields.

After graduating from George Washington High School in 1946, Chuck was an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, Artillery, retiring as a First Lieutenant.

Chuck was a dedicated member of the Arlington South Lions Club from April 1, 1963 until his death, and was a founding member of the Lions of Virginia Pin Trading Club which presented Chuck an award for one of his pin designs. Chuck was a key member in establishing Christmas tree sales fundraisers for the Lions in 1973 and worked every year until 2016 on the tree lot, helping to raise over $750,000 for charities and international disaster relief.

The Arlington County Board presented Chuck with two certificates of appreciation, one in 2006 and one in 2007.

Chuck loved cars, duck pin bowling, go kart racing and football. He was a kind man who will be much missed by all who have known him.

On Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm, the family will receive visitors at the Money & King Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 171 Maple Avenue West, Vienna, VA 22180.

Graveside services for Chuck will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11 am at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Northern Virginia Lions Youth Camp, ca/o Mark Armendaris, 7623 Virginia Avenue, Falls Church, VA 22043.
