Donna Delores Falk

donna falk
Donna Delores Falk, born September 20, 1930, a self-described child of the Great Depression and a broken home, who along with the man of her dreams, Donald, created a legacy of family security, opportunity, and love, died peacefully on January 8, 2020.

She is joining in Heaven her father, Edgar Jennings, mother, Ruth Pennington, husband, Donald Falk, and daughters, Kandace Falk and Korliss Wagner.

“Ye shall know them by their fruit,” Matthew 7-15:20.

Donna is survived by baby brother, Allen Jennings, three children, Kirk Falk, Karen Falk, and Kimberly Chenen, nine grandchildren, Ian Falk, Cecilia Lopiano, Ashleigh Wagner, Jessica Lindley, Kelsey Brown, Zachary Falk, Savannah Chenen, Sawyer Chenen, and Tatum Chenen, as well as six great grandchildren, Audrey Falk, Roman Falk, Eugene Lopiano, Logan Lindley, Zella Lopiano, and Collins Lindley.

Donna’s career began immediately after high school and continued non-stop, excepting for a brief hiatus while she and Donald grew their family in Stuttgart Germany and Monterey California, until retirement in the mid ‘90’s. During that time, she rose from a 90-day temporary hire with the Dept. of the Army to a GS-13 with the Dept. of Justice, with assignments in the USA, Japan, and Thailand. In their spare time, Donna and Donald actively participated in several family-owned businesses, including an art gallery, a MAACO franchise, a deli and sub shop, and several real estate ventures.

When not working, she could be found singing in such groups as her church choir, The Red Hat Society, Heritage Hunt’s Women of Note, and Vienna Falls chorus of Sweet Adeline’s. No matter where Don and Donna lived – USA, Europe, Thailand, or Japan – their parties were a must attend event. All were welcome in Donna’s home and her house was often filled with good conversation, song, laughter, and libation.

A funeral Mass will be held for Donna at Saint Mark’s Catholic Church, 9970 Vale Rd, Vienna, VA 22181, on Saturday 18, 2020 at 11:00am.

She lived her life to the fullest in every endeavor – family, faith, fun, or fortune – Donna Delores Falk lived life with aplomb, passion, flair, style, and grace.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to either Vitas Hospice Vienna (Vitascommunityconnection.org) or Sunrise of Hunter Mill Reminiscence Neighborhood.

  1. Ah, Donna; I found you too late and lost Don too early. So great to know you guys and your son, if only briefly. You were a big help to me as I struggled to join the government work force. Love you. George Estes
