  3. I remember taking the metro with Frieda to a Trump event. We were to meet there and I asked her how I would recognize her (we’d never met). She said “I think I’m the only black member of NPRW so it shouldn’t be hard!” What a delightful sense of humor. I loved hearing about her days of volunteering at the White House. Such a charming lady with a positive spirit! She will be missed.

  4. I remember Freida as a very kind and loving person. She always had time to chat awhile. And I enjoyed her many visits to Good Shepherd Lutheran church. She was dedicated to teaching school and could teach all of the elementary grade levels. Marlys

  6. There are so many wonderful memories of my dear friend, Frieda. We had many conversations regarding our country and its leadership, family and friends. She was such a true Christian Women who love God, family and our country. She gave to others so generously by sharing very informative emails to many of her friends and family and dutifully volunteered at the White House several days a week for years under numerous administrations. I so admired her for all of her accomplishments, especially teaching school for 30 years and earning her PHD. She had the energy and stamina of a much younger women, which I admired so much. Most of all, I adored her for her strength of character and her selfless devotions to others. I was so privileged to be her friend and I will miss her tremendously. Katrina Brooks

  7. I worked with Frieda as a volunteer at the White House and she was one of the sweetest, kindest lady there. She had a great sense of humor and spoke her mind. I will truly miss her. Kathy Blume

  8. Frieda was a long time friend of my mom, Joy Ribeiro (nee DeSandies). Frieda and I got closer after my mom passed away. I could count on her to send enjoyable emails. Often jokes or words of inspiration. I will deeply missed, she was a lovely lady. Shelley Boothby and Family

  9. To Frieda’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. Frieda was a reader during services at Church of the Holy Comforter. I will never forget her beautiful voice with a little tinge of her New York accent. She also spoke so joyfully of her mission trip to Honduras. I remember her dedication to Alvin and even though I didn’t know him, I feel like I did through Frieda. We were all lucky to have known her! Susan ( Chait) Stager

  10. Frieda was the sister of my husband, Adam. She was for us the glue that kept the family together. Frieda always informed us of family events, both sad and happy ones. She had planned to attend our granddaughter’s wedding on July 6th and her absence was mourned by those attending. She will be sadly missed. Camilla Jones Tatem
