John Alan Morgan

John Alan Morgan, age 73, of Reston, Virginia passed away on January 14, 2019. He was born on July 18, 1945 in Michigan City, Indiana to Silas Robert Morgan and Marion Stern Morgan. John is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ameling Morgan; son, John Bennett Morgan; daughter-in-law, Zoe Morgan and two granddaughters, Josephine Morgan (18) and Holly Morgan (15).
John had a Master’s degree from Valparaiso University and a Bachelor’s degree from George Washington University. He was an expert in demographics and worked in Republican politics for 50 years. For a time, he was considered the head targeter for the Republican Party. He served in the Reagan-Bush White House in the early years and then started his own company, Applied Research Coordinates, a political consulting company located in Reston, Virginia.
A Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 29 at 10am at St. Patrick Church, 638 North Calumet Road, Chesterton, Indiana 46304. Interment to follow at Chesterton Cemetery followed by a reception back at St. Patrick Church. Flowers and condolences can be sent to Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304.
