Joseph Martin Frankiewicz, Jr.

Joseph Martin “Marty” Frankiewicz, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, age 73, passed away in his home surrounded by family on Friday, October 19, 2018. He was born on February 2, 1945 in Wilmerding, PA to Joseph Martin Frankiewicz and Francis Elanor Semarge and was one of five children. Marty was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Diane, his brothers Larry and Ron Frankiewicz. He leaves one brother, Walt Frankiewicz and one sister Vicki Peace. Marty married Diane Marie Frankiewicz on March 10, 1973. Marty and Diane enjoyed spending time together traveling and working for the first seven years before they had three daughters: Kimberly, Alison, and Lauren. Marty enjoyed sailing and spending time with his family. Marty spent many evenings at Caffi field coaching his daughter’s softball teams, he was their biggest fan traveling around the country to see his daughters’ games. Marty would spend his weekends with Diane traveling locally to antique shops and flea markets. You could often find Marty with Diane relaxing on their back deck in the evening drinking a glass of wine. Marty loved spending time with his grandchildren: Leah, & Austin (Kimberly & Marty Whipkey) and Charlotte (Alison & Christopher Salnoske). Funeral services are being held at Money & King Funeral home in Vienna, VA. The viewing will be on Friday October 26, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Chapel services will be on Saturday October 27, 2018 at Money & King Funeral home at 11:30 AM with a procession following to Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax, VA.
