Kenneth Howard Ilgenfritz, 63, died May 3, 2021 at home from cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Rebecca L. Ilgenfritz and was the proud and loving father to son Kyle H. Ilgenfritz and daughter Kaitlin N. Ilgenfritz.

Ken had a distinguished 31-year career with the Central Intelligence Agency that included war zone tours in Sarajevo, Kabul, and Baghdad, among others. He retired from the CIA in 2014. At the time of his death, he was working for Fluor Federal Solutions.



Ken was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and grew up in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Shepherd University in West Virginia. He was a longtime resident of Potomac Falls and Williamsburg, Virginia.

Ken was a history buff, lifelong baseball fan, and lover of Golden Retrievers. He loved the beach, traveling with his wife, and attending Washington Nationals games with his family.

Service is private. Arrangements entrusted to Money & King Funeral Home, Vienna, VA.

  1. Kenny was always interesting to converse with. I met him back in 7th grade when I myself moved to Glen Ridge. From the Classes together, Football games, to the unforgettable Baseball seasons, to reunions. Always just a delightful human being. You will be missed by many Ken.❤️ RIP
