Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Kevin, the memories run a life time. There are a couple things for sure, you played it straight and you played it your way. God speed and say hi to your mom and dad for me please. My best to the family and to those closest to you over the years. Jack Findling

    • Kevin, Rest in peace my friend. Had been meaning to reach out recently as we haven’t spoken in some time. but hear from the grapevine all of your accomplishments and projects. So many memories growing up in Annandale together then life happens and we all go different directions. Tell your mom and dad I say hello – see you on the other side. Barry Goldman

  2. Kevin was always so full and life and laughter. A hard worker but always had time for fun. RIP my dear friend, you will be greatly missed! Cheryl Gardner Szabo

  3. Kevin was family to my family, and spent years among us, living adventure after adventure. He was kind, fearless, and funny, and loved by everyone who knew him. His welding skills were legendary and were written up in the Washington Post, of which he was very proud! He is gone too soon, but never wanted to linger, so his quick passing is appropriate. He will be greatly missed by those of us who knew and loved him. RIP Kevin, and my sincere condolences to Theresa and to his brother.

  4. I will never forget Kevin rescuing Uley from the rough surf at the outer banks on a boogie board! Or Kevin wading in the mud to get the boat out in the water so that he, TeeTee and myself could cruise around Burke Lake and the mexican restaurant afterward – I might add that it was in the middle of the work week and I took a “mental health day”! Kevin you are loved and missed dearly! Donna & Jay

  5. From digging out snow during blizzards and grilling out front in the sunshine, there was never a dull moment going on when Kevin was there. As a neighbor and friend , he’ll be sorely missed.

  6. Kevin Newell was a friend of mine for over 40 years. He worked like a maniac and played just as hard. He would stop by and visit me once a year on his way to vacation in the Florida Keys, we would talk of old times together. I think he is finally resting because he didn’t rest in this world that’s for sure. He was certainly one of a kind and I will miss him rest in peace my friend

  7. Kevin, or Kevy like I used to call him, has a special place in my heart. I remember the day I met him along with TT, Uley, Donna, and Jay. I had just moved in at the Vistas of Vienna and there was a group of people outside on the patio and I went down and introduced myself. We were friends ever since. I loved his laugh, his energy, and never a dull moment. He had a heart of gold. He helped me get my first job in the mortgage industry where I am still at 15 years later except with a different company. It has been a while since we have talked, however I can still hear your laughter. He loved offshore fishing down at the OBX and was constantly talking about it. Kevin, you are loved and missed! See you on the other side. Rest in Peace my friend. TT my sincere condolences. When things calm down you will have to come down to the river and spend some time. Love you! Caren Johnson

  8. I will always remember Kevin for his sweet humility and contagious humor. He was so caring and easy-going that he made others feel totally comfortable, safe, and accepted. I am sure no dog has ever had a better best friend than Kevin because he surely lavished his with love. Tese, what a blessing you were to each other on this side of Heaven. God is holding you close till you meet again. Love, Jeanne

  9. Sion Roberson What can I say about my good friend Kevin, I met him in the winter of 1996 when we had the blizzard snow storm, I offered him a ride home as T’Bird I call her that (Teresa) wasn’t going to pick him up. Ever since that day we bonded as well as with Teresa. I have gone to OBX with them staying at the house “SUMMERTIME A CALLIN” the laughs and fun was priceless, he even stayed behind during a hurricane just to ride it out. We left him, but we knew he was going to get through it. I’m going to miss him, as I would bump into him from time to time on the ATT Lot walking the dog. Rest in Peace my friend you are going to be solely missed. I’m sure you are telling them up there “Don’t Let these Rags fool you”

  10. Kevin ” Full Throttle ” Newell . You lived your life to the fullest. Always up for the next adventure. We shared some great times with you and Theresa at the beach.Never to be forgotten. Thank you for kindness to us and thank you for loving Theresa so much. You will be missed. Love, Bob and Carol

  11. Kevin was my good friend and mentor and like a father to me for the past ten years I could trust him with anything he was a man of his word to the fullest extent. He was the reason for a lot of first in my life first time striking a arc (welding), airboat rides, he was right beside me on my first plane ride (bi-plane Obx wow) first off shore fishing trip became addicted ever since he was Capt K hosted the ACTION PACKED ADVENTURE TOUR!!! Every year the most fun!! He will be missed I would always turn to him for his opinions and advice and most importantly the thousands of questions I would ask every day hahah we had the most fun working together never felt like work, it’s was just fun to laugh we were so similar in a lot of aspects and he will truly truly be missed but never forgotten that’s a fact “there ain’t many of us left” as we would always say! See you all on the 25th party time!!

  12. My dear Kevin, always all my love. You had a certain walk, like a stroll in a park, without a care, simply strolling and loving, dreaming of the best life, for all of us. I thank you for the dreams, the hope that you gave me. I will do my best, I will always remember…

  13. My sweet sister Theresa, you have a lifetime full of memories of joy, love laughter and adventures with Kevin. I will remember his sly humor and how much you two loved each other. And lets not forget all the beautiful flowers he brought home to you along with the yummy blue crabs. You both made a happy home to a few much loved chesapeake bay retrievers. He will be so missed for all his love and generosity he shared with all who knew him. My heart breaks for you Tee ,and we are all here for you. Goodbye my friend Kevin , thanks for making my sis so happy……. Lisa Dealy

  14. I met Kevin in 1995 when he & Theresa first started dating. Theresa & I were “wild & single women” at the time, close friends since the 3rd grade, & we both lived in Fairfax County Virginia. Kevin, Theresa & I enjoyed doing fun things together, like double-date, go out to eat, go to the beach, go to a Baltimore Orioles game, all those social activities Kevin loved so much! I married in 1999 & moved to Denver CO in 2000. Although I could no longer spend a lot of time with Kevin & Theresa, every time I came back East during the past 20 years, they always took time out of their busy schedules so we could get together. Kevin loved telling us stories about his times in Denver, his special welding jobs (which he was so rightfully proud of!), and his & Theresa’s fun adventures on jet skis & at the beach. Kevin & Theresa loved each other so much!! Kevin surely lived a full life, at work & away, and he is truly missed. Kevin will always hold a special place in the many hearts of those whose lives he touched. Kaddi Berry Brownell

  15. I only knew Kevin through his love of my dear friend, Theresa. There were his 6 to 8 phone calls to her in her 12 hr shifts…news about Bodie or Yuhle or what he was grilling for dinner. There were some pretty wacky lunches he fixed for her, and he always got the car cleaned off and warmed up on snow days. He would have her tell me about nature news items or upcoming celestial events, often by shouting them out when T and I were on the phone. He was obviously generous and shared his life enthusiasm with many. He is gone too soon. You were blessed to have each other, T. You were his angel this side of heaven.
