Lucien B. McDonald Jr., 79, died October 16, 2021, at his home in McLean, VA. Mr. McDonald was born in Pennsylvania, December 11, 1941, the son of the late Rear Admiral Lucien B. and Anne McDonald. He grew up in many places that included Altoona PA, New London CT, and Key West FL. He graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD., in 1964 as an electrical engineer and built antennas in many parts of the world. Surviving is his wife of almost 44 years, Shu-Mei McDonald; 3 sons, Lucien B. McDonald III, Edward McDonald, and Charles McDonald; 3 grandchildren; and two sisters, Jessica Howell and Elizabeth Beverly. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 20 from 5-7 p.m. at Money & King Funeral Home, 171 Maple Ave., Vienna VA. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday October 21 in Columbia Gardens Cemetery at 11 a.m., 3411 Arlington Blvd., Arlington VA.
